Movement Is Life
The function of a moveable joint is motion. Loss of motion causes distorted functioning. Normalization produces normal functioning.

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a very gentle feather like massage technique. The purpose of MLD is to increase the movement of fluid in the lymph system by way of very slow, soft hands on massage techniques. The lymph system not only serves to clean the body but it also guards against infection and carries out vital function. The therapeutic benefits of MLD, evidenced by more than 30 years of research are well documented. It is widely prescribed by physicians in Europe and many physicians in the United States and Canada.
Benefits of Manual Lymph Drainage
  1. MLD removes metabolic wastes, excess water, toxins, bacteria, large protein molecules and foreign substances from the tissues.
  2. MLD, through its gentle rhythmical precise hand movements, alleviates pain by greatly reducing the pain signals sent to the brain.
  3. MLD relaxes the sympathetic nervous system, thus helping to relieve stress.
  4. MLD supports and enhances the action of the immune system.
  5. MLD helps to minimize scar formation.
  6. MLD helps the body to heal more quickly from injuries, surgical trauma, chronic condition, and edema (swelling).
Edema may occur when the lymphatic system is completely healthy. During times of trauma, injury, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and dental surgery MLD is a wonderful way to relieve the pain, lessen the edema and improve the healing time. If the edema is forseen as in surgery it is best to receive a few MLD treatments before. This is like turning on the sump-pump before the water enters the basement. The pain, swelling, bruising and time for recovery will be less than expected. Edema may occur after cancer therapy specifically radiation, removal of lymphnodes and or cancerous tissue. This edema is most often diagnosed as lymphedema. MLD is then combined with wrapping the edematous area in soft foam and tensors that create a tailor made personalized pump. The pump is worn until the edemas decreased. Specific exercises and breathing techniques are also given to assist in the recovery .

Reasons to receive MLD
•Wounds do to surgery or injury •factures
  •whiplash •leg ulcers
  •acne •meniere's disease
  •sinusitis •lymphedema
  •stress •preventative health care
