A salt glow consists of water and salt mixed together. The consistency is a thick salt
base with very little water added.
The therapist does several quick efflarages to eight areas of the body.
This does two things:
Acts as an exfolient taking the dead skin off the area.
Promotes circulation to the area.
The areas that are treated are the backs of the legs, back, arms, front of legs, palms
of your hands, soles of the feet, upper chest [above the clavicle] and the abdomen.
After each section is done, a lavender rinse is used to do two things:
Wipe off the salt.
To neutralize the skin.
At the end of the session, you feel brand new and energized.
People who have psoriasis can not have this modality done because of open sores.
